Title: Importing satellite images to Terragen. (noob needs help)
Post by: Leerling177171 on April 03, 2013, 06:37:11 AM
Hello,
I'm new to Terragen and I want too know how I could import images (for instance a satellite image from Google Maps) to make a Skybox. It's for a bungee jump simulator out of a plane so I need the skybox to show me the satellite images for the ground. Please help me ?

Hi (dutch?) Leerling,

There's quite some discussion and recent information on skyboxes. Did you try the search?

If you want to use google for a surface texture then it's fine, but you can't texture the "sky", because TG doesn't use a skybox as atmosphere system. It doesn't work like that. (well you can actually, but quality-wise it's not really desired).

Cheers,
Martin
