Title: Render Normals and Displacement Map

Hi all !

I looking for export normals map and displacement map (or bump map)
I have searching a way on this forum but i dont find it.


I know i need to use MicroExporter, but i dont know how to save normals map as .bmp (or other format)
Can you help me please.

And, i looking for export displacement map. It is possible with Terragen2?

Here's how to render a normal map based on camera view:

A bump map can be made adding a 2 surface layers:
1) pure black
2) pure white => in altitude constraints set max altitude to the max altitude of your terrain and set fuzzy zone to terrain altitude range.
(so if your terrain ranges from 0 to 2000 metres then set max to 2000 and fuzzy zone to 2000)


Now you should have a gradient from black to white where white is the highest point in the terrain and thus the biggest "bump".
Then render this from a top-down perspective without shadows and you have your bump map.
