It is so possible that 3D printing technology could solve the organ-donor problem in the world. This 3D printed skull using PLA filament is just one of the examples: http://www.3d2print.net/shop/blog/cool/heads-need-new-skull/. This can greatly help training doctors and surgeons, right?

I do consider that 3d printing is the next revolution.
It could completely change our societies.

we would buy the components to build the products we want.
industries, shops, everything could change

Star Trek was not so far with their food synthesizer  ;)
