My other post seems to be messed up somehow so i figured i would try posting it again. (Feel free to delete the other)
I'm trying to find a program that can take the 3d land scape textures that i make in Geocontrol 2 and then display them in a way that i can place on a map. I was curious if this one could do that? It would be a world map with fairly high elevations. (Kind of like google earth but more flat, i plan to upload it to my books webpage.)
Not that i wouldn't mind building the entire world and letting the reader actually take a tour. But for now i just need to figure out a way to build the map.
Nothing was attached?
Forgot to edit that section out, in the last post i tried to attach a picture but it messed up the post. It would just load a blank white page when clicking on the link in the forums.
A basic link did it too, not sure why the forums are doing that. Looks like a img code works though.

It's not the best but it gives an idea of what I'm trying to do. I just don't know if this program can do that. I need to get a good top down view of the terrain so i can past it on the map. Geocontrol2 can make some really neat looking areas, but as of yet i haven't found a way to export it in a true top down view. The closest i found was the 3d view from the side.
It sounds more like you just need a basic image editor, no? Maybe I'm not clear on what you're trying to do. Geocontrol ought to be able to output normal image formats.

It can do basic 2D in both grayscale and color. However i was wanting the a top down view of the 3d scape. I did manage to use the 2d pictures for what i needed though.

Course that was done with the free trial so i cant use it for anything lol. It's shame i don't have more money to spend, having some one use your program to build the world would be neat.
