Title: White Water Spots
Post by: dorianvan on May 08, 2013, 05:47:54 PM
Here's a test animation of water, but there are white spots on the water to the left. I've tried to get rid of them but no luck. I'm thinking GI, but not sure. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

These are reflective highlights of the sun. Nothing wrong or incorrect about this :)
To make them less strong and more blurry you can play with the "highlight intensity" and "min highlight spread" settings in the water shader.

Cheers,

Jup, looks like hard bloomed sun reflections.

You could also try to uncheck AA-bloom in your render setting tabs if this is checked as it adds a lot of bloom when very bright colors or reflections and strong contrasts come into play.

The water is looking very good btw.! But it gave me more a feel of high seas.
