New render after a long time away from TG. ;D
This scene is depicting a southern Australian landscape in the evening summer light.
The lighting is perfect! This looks very very realistic.
Some crits if you don't mind: the benches and the table seem to be a bit too large compared to the trees imho. Maybe you could add some higher grass to make the ground look less carpet like?!
I think your points are valid. Now that I look at it again, the table does look a bit big. I'm working on another version with taller grass. Probably should have named this WIP as I'm still woking on it.
Very nice! Love the lighting and the grass.
WOW!
You found some kind of balance here. :o
Very realistic lighting and color tones. The grass looks like mown grass, in a park or something. Which seems quite realistic for this scene actually. Maybe some tufts of grass around the base of trees and close in to the bushes where it would be hard to get a mower, plus that would help break up the regularity of the tree trunks at the base. Otherwise I think this is looking quite nice. Would be curious to see it with more neutral, daytime lighting though, to see if the colors hold up.

It's good to see you back posting images. One thing I always like about you pictures is that the lighting is always great, you really seem to have mastered that side of Terragen,
Thanks for the comments and crits folks.
@ Reck I think lighting is one of the most important things that you can improve to increase the realism in TG renders.
I have updated with scene with the suggestions from this thread. Changes include smaller scaled picnic table and seats, added grass, added some mulch underneath the bigger trees and changed the lighting to an earlier hour.
I will be moving to another project now, this was just an exercise to get back into the TG workflow.
Beautiful work Saurav, the update here is very realistic. The reduced gamma and improved lighting did the trick.
nice to see you back... loved the lighting in both!
:)
Very realistic! :)
Yeah, you're back!
I hope? :)
I like the realism in lighting of the 1st one better.
The 2nd is very good, still, but is a bit bland. The colours of the 1st are more exciting and interesting IMHO.
If I'd strive for perfection I'd remove the bush with the dark leafs.
Great start and warming up though!
Man I'm looking so much forward to see more of your work!
Cheers,
Martin
I have a preference for the first but both have a very realistic light !
It's obviously noticeable as Australia which is cool.
