Title: Intersect underlying / Favour depressions for driving population (fixed)
Post by: paq on July 16, 2013, 12:44:55 PM
Hello there,

I cant figure out how (and if) I can use the Intersect underlying / Favour depressions found in the surface layer node to drive a populator density. I've just plug the surface node into the density shader, but the 'effect' dont seems to control anything.

Nevermind, I just have to also plug the terrain into the surface layer input to make it working.

where do you plug the terrain in?

Hi bobbystahr,

I need to invertigate a little more about this, because I dont think I'm doing it right.
The connection I made seems to work for the  Intersect underlying, but now I cant get the altitude limitation working at the same time.

I'm a little buzy right now, I'll come back to this later.

You could blend the intersection mask by a distribution shader for the height control, or merge/multiply them for a final mask.
