...this may be totally unimportant but I wanted to ask what's the reason for the changes between the default settings in TG2 and TG3:
- in TG2 sun intensity defaults to 3.5, in TG3 it is set to 5
- most controls in the Atmosphere are different between TG2 and TG3
Is this because you've revised the default scene to match earth's atmosphere better in TG3 or is this just sort of a random scene that ended up being the default now?
I'm asking because I'd actually like the default scene to be something natural in regards to earth's atmosphere, so I'm all for it if we really have something that's even more earth-like.
If you like the old default scene you can save it as anything you like, place it anywhere you like (accessible) and set it as your default start-up scene in Preferences.
Edit>Preferences>Startup>Project Creation>Load from file and navigate to your desired file.
You can do this with any file you choose.
Hope this helps ...
Richard
Thanks, Richard, yeah knew about that.
Actually I wondered why the defaults have been changed in the first place - like, were they updated to better represent earth's atmosphere...? Not that they'd look unnatural or anything, I'm just curious.

Yes some of those changes are meant as improvement over the previous default scene, as far as I know.
Yes, the defaults were changed to be more realistic.
