Title: Tiling DEMs in TG3
Post by: myklgrant on August 13, 2013, 10:56:23 PM
Hello,
I've just started using TG3 and its handling of DEM files is much better than TG2.
I have been able to load a single DEM turn off geolocation and then place the camera easily but I would like to import multiple files in order to get a large landscape.

Some questions:
If I load multiple adjacent DEMs will they tile correctly if I leave geolocation on?
Since I haven't used geolocated DEMs before, how do I find them on the planet and send the camera to them? Is there anyway to enter lat-long coordinates into the camera?
Thank-you for any help.

Yes they tile correctly.  Enter the rough co-ordinates of your area in the Lat / Long at apex field in the Planet node.  This will set your area to the 0,0 point.
