Title: Materials
Post by: EdBardet on August 31, 2013, 01:40:29 PM
I have used the object reader to get an obj file and it came in. TG created a parts shader and under it each of the material names from the object file. I got error messages concerning the named materials. There is a material file in the same directory and folder as the object file. How can I get TG to load it or load it manually.

Do they have to be in the library?

Thanks
Ed

I think cyphyr as pointing you toward Poseray to sort that out, however if you can email me the object and its MTL file and textures I'll have a look at what it's not being loaded. It might be an opportunity to improve the OBJ loader. My email address is:

jomeder@planetside.co.uk

If the file etc. is quite large it might be better to upload it somewhere and send me a link.

No. The Library is basically for helping you keep track of assets for using TG. There is no situation where a file has to be in the Library for it to be loaded.
