The building looks a little flat to me, especially the wooden shingles.  But the rest of it is perfect!!!!

i really like the water colour, and almost everything very "calme" view

Really nice one. It's almost perfect to me.
My only comment : you should try to add some translucency to the foreground leaves to get  more realism. Right now they are maybe too opaque.
Nice work !

I like this very, very much, but an additional thing is the 'bald' stripe at waterline. I'd put some more grasses there. The water is perfect, the house mysterious, I like that.

Makes me want to see more what is around outside the frame.

Wow, really nice result! I think it's rather too "hazy", almost as if there is a fire somewhere, after all this is quite a small distance viewed in the scene. But perhaps it's a "surreal" or "hazy sunny day" type of feel you want to achieve or something, which is fine. I think the minor critiques from others are generally valid, but they don't really stand out as issues to me as much. I'd like to see it higher resolution when you're done, and above all, don't mess with it too much as this is already great!

Extra fine work by you, You have done careful selection of thees and plants; and, brought them together into a beautiful composition. Good usage of lighting as well.

Wow! Very nice composition!!!
I would reduce some green from the overall picture. That will make the house for example more brown and it will create an nice contrast in the image. I downloaded your picture and processed through Photoshop with the above and I got a pretty nice result for my eyes at least. I can upload it for u if u want so u ca see what i meant ;)
Otherwise well done!!

Oshyan,

Marcello

Oshyan,

You are right, I effectively put a very very loose low cloud, on the other hand the sky lacks clouds, I am going to try to realize an other image with minor changes, I am going to follow the idea of Ulco. I tried to realize the scene(stage) with TG3, but the limits of the free version a little discouraged me.

Thanks to all.

Marcello

Salut  :)

Very nice composition here

About haze, I am not sure to agree with Oshyan .. I like

What I would suggest is to try different sun positions .. (a 3/4 back light for instance ?)

cheers

Bonjour Luc,

http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6118/6309897224_1126997dac_z.jpg (http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6118/6309897224_1126997dac_z.jpg)

I liked the light water in the first version better, and now I see that it's very smooth in areas. I'd give that just a tad more wavelets.

Merci Ulco,

Thank you Ulco,
in fact the smoother places are voluntary, practising the fishing since my childhood, I often noticed by quiet and especially foggy time(weather), that a light broken breeze the effect mirror by place, I also wanted to give the (lower right) impression gone back up furtive of a carp or a tench.

(This last render is really superb. Maybe could you give an another try with a little more pronounced indirect light and a slighly more reddening sun ? Anyway it looks already great.)

David.

Here it looks too more pronouced. Could you just very slighly change the sun's color without  changing the redsky decay and the sky/atmosphere setting to preserve the blue sky color ?

Wow - this is great.  I agree that it would be nice to add depth to the roof tiling, but this really is lovely stuff!  I prefer the 2nd of the 3.  Really well done - am a little jealous!

I agree, the 2nd is an improvement on an already great image. Better realism, subtle lighting, improved fog/mist. I like it.

Realism is what most all of us here try to attain; and Marcello, you have come very close to it here with this second image.

Number two is even better. I like image 3 also. But for image 3 I would like it more as an animation.

Freaking beautiful picture in post 22!

The reddish one don't work for me in all (who cares!?), but why you screamed the background in all?

Maybe i've missing or missunderstanding something even rereading this thread, sry then..  :(

This is really outstanding! I have to say that I prefer the first one. I agree about the translucency of the leaves in the foreground, and I'd also love to see some subtle DOF there.
The second one looks great too. Not sure about the "golden" one...
