I like your color variation in the trees as well as the cloud formations. I'm stumped though at what that object is over to the right side of the image.

I think it's the boat she listed in her credits.  :)

Well, it is supposed to be an old broken boat.   ::)

That's okay, Bob.......it is obvious I did not do a good job with this.

I don't like barrels generally but like your idea/buildup, what's up!? :D

Like choronr said, the trees and color variations are rly looking good.
For me they looking even better and more natural like most other ones I see normally, just saying..

You just could invest more kB's to your attached picture(s) quality wise BTW (if possible). Few hundred of kB's per attachment shouldn't be a problem i believe.

It's nice, but there's a strange kind of blur on the right hand side. What's causing that? I do like the 'windblown' tree near the boat, and the stuff lying around. Get the reeds to extends patch-wise to the left a little more, or do something else with the barren shore, like some rocks or more barrels. The clouds are really good, but maybe you can add  a subtle cirrus. And make it bigger!

Very nice color variation. Maybe something to change with the clouds.

As you used the cattails i tried to get it, but there is no more access to get it. Any idea about another site for this file ?

Nice work Lyla, I think the blurring on the right is caused by an image overlay. I always throw a srf layer over the top of an image overlay when looking directly @ it. This helps the image settle in.

Will work on the barren shore, add a bit of cirrus cloud, see about the reed patch, but about the blur on the right hand side, I have no idea. Danny I don't have a clue what you are talking about (image overlay).  Am wondering if it could be the tree model itself.....an X-Frog willow and if you look at my last image that had that tree, it was kind of blurred (windblown looking) also.

RE: size and quality.....about the best I can do with the free version.  :-)

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Question: What were your Detail and Anti-aliasing settings; also, what Pixel filter (in the Extra tab) did you use for rendering?

Like the composition and the colors. Definitely communicates the title of the picture. An abandoned place.

IT does give a good sense or remote and quite. Looks like you've been using the new color feature too. Well done!

Thanks. I would like to suggest AA6 and detail 7 - maybe this would sharpen the image up a bit. If not, try the Narrow cubic filter.

In all, as is, it is a nice improvement over the previous one.

That setting is not something I  can do in the free version, but I can try the Narrow Cubic filter.
