Not bad, but it could use a rhino.

Good to see you back Martin. This reminds me of an early Autumn morning in Minnesota ...very nice.

How long since you last posted something like this, Martin? Too long. It's nice, I like the calm atmosphere of a misty morning going fishing. I also like the one broken branch, very subtle. I would, though, decrease the waves' size.

Cheers, all!
Damn it, Fleetwood, there was one here and I knew, the minute he ran away, that it would look like there was something missing here! Anyone seen my rhinoceros?

Ulco, aye it's been a while. I was going to post last week as I just built the Nabta Playa complex 'Calendar Circle' with TG rocks and shaders but, because it's an awkward equinox Sunrise setting I've went for, I've not been satisfied with my scene lighting just yet. Maybe I'll go back to that one later today...

Thanks again, all! :)

And, funny you should mention the waves! Every render I done of this had half the wave scale, right up until I went to render this one, the reflections from the tree line didn't seem broken up enough to me, so I doubled the roughness right before hitting render. I might do it again, it was a pretty quick render, 'ray trace everything' with some modified sampling for a nice, speedy render time.

Shhhh!  If you listen very closely you can hear the fish jumping.  Love this image.

Nice mood, the mist is convincing.  I agree about the water though.

Really great image, the thumb looks like a photo. I agree the water needs to be less turbulent :)

Calmed the water down a bit.
And, the kids have decided to join Dad on his fishing trip today. The boy had ballet class yesterday, and the girl was out hunting for rhino. :)

* Ade, haha! I see you every bleed'n day! One of your firs is in this actually(the first one, I've lost the other 4 or 5 that you gave me with it somehow).
** There's a couple of Walli's trees in there too, I should have said.

Cheers again! :)
