There's supposed to be a sign on the post saying so but I've forgotten to load the right version of the model in this .tgd. There's also a closed version, they're textured with procedural wood and filth fractals so random seeding will give infinite grain and dirt variations, I'll upload the .tgo files, if anyone wants them, they're just simple models but a gate doesn't really need loads of bells and whistles, I reckon.
Cheers for looking! :)
I like this..................would like to see how you did the stones. :)
One of Walli's thin grasses are in here, thanks!
The rest are built in TG grass clumps. Flowers are my own and the eagle is a Daz3D model.
Especially the muddy road/tracks with it's dirty water looks awesome!
The open gate is a great lead-in. Super surroundings here Martin.
This is excellently constructed. The grass and muddy tracks are brilliant too. My only crit is that nothing seems to be holding the left-hand (main) portion of the gate up :)
Cheers.
Yossam, those are just a very densely packed fake stones shader over a simple shape displacement. A compute terrain patch size smaller than the stones is needed to make the stones appear their best on near-vertical surfaces.
Eoin, there are actually hinges on the gate, it's just a bit of an unfortunate vewing angle and you can't see them here.
:)
That patch size tip may come in useful; thanks!
Like the Image Martin. The mud really catches my eye.
Nice image Martin!
I especially like the wall and that ground looks very good :)
Thanks. I think I'll edit the mid-ground, I've had it a few different ways before this, tried it with gentle rolling hills into the distance, tried it with no visible sky and a sheer cliff where the sky is now.
I'm going to take the lake back to a much smaller pond in a sheep field, I think I'll keep the background hills, I quite like them but I might adjust the constraints of the crossed stratas to bring more rock onto the steeper parts of the hills.
I really like the landscape the way it is. Maybe the water could be a bit calmer? Something else: did you use GISD? The lighting of the wall seems a bit flat.
Thanks for sharing ... looks very good.

I personally would like to see a clip of the wall...been trying it out as per what you wrote but can't get it to work....
This is the idea, Bobby.
Thank you both Martin and Ulco.

many thanks...off to learn...
Really like this image; the forground grass, mud, water, and rocks with grass/moss are very good. Since the tracks look semi-fresh, it makes sense the fence would be usable, but I might have aged it more. Also on the upper track where the mud is, I might have pressed in a tire mark somehow. Wow, this is good though!
