Title: SF for a beginner - me.
Post by: ratfugel on October 03, 2013, 01:07:49 PM
Decided to give SF a whirl.  Fatal. No model, didn't fancy using somebody else's. So I had to knock something up.  Modo was fastest, so I did that bit next.  Then I needed a simple background and some wispy clouds to fill in a bit. Oh yes, and a planet. (Nearly missed that – SF's no good without planets). Now tart up the model a bit and render the lot.  Did it work? I have no idea, maybe it'll get better as I go along. So it's back to the drawing board then..........

Well, its rather nice, isn't it? Can be improved, to be honest, but it's good to try everything. For one, I'd dirty and dent the craft like it's been traveling a long time in hostile environments. And add rivets or stuff like heat plates, it's a bit clean now.
