Hi all, I'm not sure if this is a known issue or just something specific to my computer (I wouldn't be surprised at the latter) but when I render at high detail (0.9) and at 1024x768 and above I sometines get small "pinpricks" dotted around the final render. There aren't usually many (maybe 4 or 5 max) and they're only a pixel or two in size, but the can spoil the effect a little.
It's fairly easy to get rid of them using paintshop so it's not a major issue, I was jut wondering if anyone else had experienced it and if anyone knew the reason.
(I would attach an image as an example, but I'm at work and don't have any here.)
Inscrutable
I think I see some of these dots in Luc Bianco's image:

These the same?
Yes, I can see a few in that picture, but the're more pronounced in this picture that I've now had an opportunity to attach. Good to see that I'm not the only one experiencing this though.
Anyone know the cause?
No. I've never seen this before. It may exist without seeing it.
Nice pebbled terrain, though.
This looks like small shadow holes, which are an occasional problem we're already aware of. They should be reduced or eliminated with some more work on the rendering engine in the future.
Nice texturing btw. :)
