Title: My Own Little Lake
Post by: sshank on June 22, 2007, 03:18:51 PM
I must confess that I've been trying to break the Terragen addiction for the last 3 months now, but last night I took just one little "drink" and here I am again :D. Anyway, this is just a little study to see if I could get multiple colors on the landscape.

I like your lake.  Try using some fake stones and a distribution shader to make some rocky mountain sides.

I tried working with the stones for awhile but couldn't get anything that satisfied me. Since my focus was more on varying the colors of the landscape, I put this part aside.

I wanted to give a human touch to the composition, so I added an LWO jeep/truck model I found on line. In the past, I haven't had too much luck adding texture to such models with something like Wings, and it looked too much like a shadow profile as it was, so I added AB on the side just to soften it a bit. No other meaning. Pretty lame, huh?
