Very nice. Wondering what the scene would look like with a lower sun and lower to the ground (then tilting the camera upward to gain more sky)?

Pondering the overall scene, I'm thinking that maybe I would try to improve on the atmospherics by lowering the sun and increasing the red sky decay; and, reducing the gamma setting from the default of 2.1 to 2 or 1.9. Further, maybe even tinting the cirrus clouds color to a pinkish hue.

Just rambling here; but, what you have done so far is an improvement.

What atmo settings did you use? Low cloud for fog? If so, you might try increase its density, but mask by distance shader to get a clearer distinction between foreground and background.
