Title: Saving a personalize UI
Post by: MakeurMARK on November 28, 2013, 04:57:25 PM
After opening new windows and setting up a couple of different preview windows, is there any way I can save my personalised UI?
If this feature is available is it restricted to the paid for versions only? (not available in free version).

Thanks

I dont know if it works in the free version, but you can save a custom scene that will open as the default planet. I dont know if changes to the UI will also save.

Go "preferences"->"set-up" and play there. It may work.

Hi,

There isn't any way to save a customised UI layout. Some windows such as the node palette remember their location but that's the extent of it.

Are you opening 3D Previews in new windows?

There doesn't seem to be a set-up section under preferences. Maybe because it's the free version.
Jo - yes, I have a dual monitor setup and wanted a little more space for the 3D preview window and node palette, a monitor for each.
I suppose I'll just have to set up each time I open Terragen.

I think Badger meant the "Startup" preferences panel. It wouldn't have helped you out anyway.

Just to clarify, the "node palette" is different to the "network view". The network view is what shows the nodes and their connections. It's the bottom right of the main window. The node palette is a floating window that lets you create and browse nodes. There is more information about it here:

Thanks Jo, give me a couple of weeks and I'll start getting it right. Call it a newbie mistake.
