Thanks Man! Just what I needed step by step instructions. I'm a little slow you know. ;D
Cool. I'm hoping someone finds it useful. Let me know if you find steps you think should be changed/improved on, if you please.
;D
At least it has certainly helped me ;D

I had to go through this all by myself a few weeks ago, since I didn't know what the heck I was doing.
Where were you then, huh!?!?!? ;D
Thanks for writing this up. Its pretty much the same process I use as well.
This is gonna prove to be very useful Thanks for sharing
By the way, I've also noticed that some objects, despite having the proper scale, do not touch the ground... So, those Xfrog items may need a "translate session" in Poseray before being imported into TG2.
As a newbie sidenote, I'd also mention that the alpha channel checkbox should remain unchecked if the so-called "alpha-textures" are jpg files.

Thanks for your tips, Harvey.
I had actually made the transformation in the 'Group' tab in Poseray, by means of a translation (for the shrubs I used, it was y=-0.2, after having performed the Y-Z flip axis). It seemed to work just fine as well.
Yeah, that's what I meant. You can get the amount it needs to be moved from the Bounding Box data, then go to the 'Groups' tab and do the translation.
I finally got it to work, it seems I had to check the "invert opacity image" box in TG2 when I used the alpha image. Oh well, at least now it works.
Edit: crap, I can't save it as a tgo. When I do, as soon as it's done loading the tgo file it crashes. any suggestions? There's so spaces in the name or directory.
I've no idea! Try quitting TG2, restart it, click the 'Pause' button on the preview window, then try to import it.
If you can't get it to work let me know. I went and converted most, but not quite all, of the freebies a week or two back.
that worked, but once I go to try and render it, it crashes.
How big are the OBJ and TG (separately)? If they're not too large it would be useful to have them to investigate the problem you're encountering as I'm not away of TGO crashing issues as yet. You can send with attachments (up to 10MB or so) to support@planetside.co.uk

when I get a chance, I'll have to email a link to a download spot, b/c the TGO itself is 11.7 MB. Probably sometime tomorrow (technically, 5-5:30 PM EDT)
ok, later than i thought :P Here's a download link, in case the email it sends doesnt get through (never used that particular site before, so who knows).

so, any luck with it?
It's in the dev queue to be looked at. We've got a lot of things going at the moment as you might imagine so it will be a bit before we're able to do anything about this if it is indeed a bug. If there is a problem that can be fixed here you can expect it in a future update. I will let you know if there are any further developments.

ok, thanks oshyan!
