Title: Isle of the Blue Tree
Post by: Markal on December 20, 2013, 06:01:00 PM
My 2049 World Machine terrain "Split Rock", Blue tree is the "Mango" free from X-Frog...I varied the colors, ryegrass, phragmites, cosmos, tundra heather for the 4 plant types. Background is an actual cloud image over lay placed in the background layer.  Any thoughts or suggestions on this image are appreciated...Thanks!

I realized that putting the background up blocked the Terragen sun. But, all else is looking very good. Nice work Mark.

Maybe higher AA or detail as the image looks grainy.  Or maybe that's my old eyes!

Lots of good things in this one. Very dark on my monitor, so much of your work on the island is lost in the shadows.
I do think the high reflections on the waves grab attention without a sun to match them.

Really like these rocks on the main island!! Great they are! Not sure about the photo for a sky on this, and have no idea why there is one blue tree. But man are those rocks pretty 8)

@Bob...the sun in TG usually always appears in front of the background...I clicked visible disk off...it just didn't look right. I have seen many ocean sunsets here on the gulf coast and the sun, even behind the clouds leaves highlights and reflective wavelets. Is wavelets a word? :) Anyway, thanks for the input and I may need to rework this one someday.....
