Title: Clouds and A380
Post by: alessandro on December 27, 2013, 10:23:16 AM
Clouds experimenting, I used 7 different clouds layers and yet I'm not satisfied with the lack of contrast on the clouds: I've to experiment some more to achieve the perfect look. Still, I love using TG3 and so I'm posting whatever experiment I'm after.

Great light and volumetric cloud work, are the filter effects done within TG like B-Slines/blur or is this postworked, either way its extremely effective

Hi Danny, after the render I adjusted the clouds contrast a bit and added the tiny A380 lights in Photoshop.

Allesandro you can use renders saving as EXR and-or Render layers for much more comp and postwork control.
Not sure if you know those options?

Hi Kadri,

I did experiment a bit using Render Layers, but I still need some time to get more acquainted. Thanks for mentioning those anyway, I'm still learning to use TG3 efficiently and so each advice is very much appreciated. I'll also check the saving to .EXR.

Right, probably work on the scattering features on the cloud node.

GISD doesn't operate on clouds, it's GI *Surface* Details (clouds being considered a volumetric shading and not a surface).
