They call this place Ft. Dobie, though no one knows quite what these structures were originally.
But when Spring is here everyone has to make the Pilgrimage.
Funny dark speckled patterns on the walls in the foreground came about from a mistake. Somehow I made a typo on the patch size in Compute Terrain. It became set to zero.
I wondered why the render went from 6 hours to 17 hours ! I can't recommend zero patch size, but it does give a different result.
plants from the included Terragen library
human figures from Artec Scans
I like this............good concept. :)
lol ;D good one!
Where are all those people from (the models I mean) I see one that I have seen before. how many different figure models are there?
Am using just two models - the Anya and the Sasha. But I'm using the same simple variation techniques as with plants.
The scale of each instance varies from .8 to 1 of full sized and then the y rotation varies within a range of 10 degrees. The x and z rotations are set to 1 or 2 degrees so each figure has a small unique tilt. I used a lot of haze and have them coming out of some low fog to try to make the figures a bit less obvious clones.
Looks very good. I like stuff like this, a bit ominous, but not overdone. Great.
Nice idea very nicely done.
Original idea ! Excellent composition !
