Does anyone have an idea how to make the landscape in the mirror (behind the camera) more detailed ?

Ì believe you should increase the ray detail region padding in renderer advanced to overcome the blocky sides. It's outside the camera frustrum, hence the blockyness. But by how much I don't know.
Ulco is right. Cursor is from 0 to 1. I would suggest you to try with 1.
But you also need to set ray detail region in advanced render tab to 360 degree detail (highest suggested)
Of course that will increase the rendering time.

I have never used the 360 degrees option....(end of disclaimer)
If you use 360 degrees option then you don't need any padding I would think?
What else is there to pad when you sample 360 degrees already?

I didn't use very often. And I found the solution by tries.
If I remember well, I first try the padding to 1 and it didn't work. I then changed ray detail region
but didn't try it with padding back to 0.
And as I didn't find any topic about both (interaction), I kept this setting.
Maybe anyone can confirm your idea.

Love the idea. Love the render. That's great.
There are two versions of the 360 degree detail option. You can choose between "optimal" and "highest". In a situation like this where the ball is demagnifying the reflection you might not need to use "highest". "Optimal" will render faster because it somewhat reduces the detail behind the camera.
