Here's new one using a modified version of the Paved Path file kindly donated by J Meyer (thanks so much).
Trees from Xfrog and NWDA (by Walli) plants from NWDA (Walli), blue bells by TerrAde, sheep for Lynne's Creations, fence my own.
Comments good and bad welcome.
great idea and nicely done too!
:)
nice pix! and great usage of the path ;)
Nice one, reminds me of a place near my home (at least the halfburied path does.
Only thing that irritates me is the purple flowers, somehow they disturb my perception of the shape of the landscape. Seems to me as if the violet colour was below the green.
my best regards,
J
Mahnmut was faster! That was exactly what I thought. This is an excellent picture but the violet plants look kind of out of place. I don't know, if they are too small or if there are too many of them. They definitely fit into the image, but something is wrong with them.
But anyway, this looks magnificent!
thanks for the comments guys. I think the problem with the Bluebells is that they're too homogenous with the nettles. They need to be more clumped in separate areas. The shading from the trees doesn't help either. I'll re-render with mods.
modified version:
Brighter (too much?)
Veg changes & sun angle shifted.
Much better. I would add more undergrowth to 'interact' with the bluebells, so they aren't like a carpet. And I would wet the road (not personally ;)), at least in patches, near the puddle.
Its looking good!
Latest and final version.
very nice and I especially like the path with puddles.
Great improvement, indeed!
Excellent scene Kevin. The rework improves realism.
Incredibly realistic! Truly an improvement.
The last one looks great Kevin!
Nice one indeed.
Thanks for all your comments and suggestions folks. I think j meyers paved path makes it though, thanks again Jochen.
I know I said the last one was the final one, but I couldn't resist slipping j meyer's land rover and dandelO's wooden gate into the scene. Thanks guys for these great models.
Just a quick (35min render at low res) version .
Looking very good Kevin.
lol I like it! This one made me laugh. Its just a happy felling image :)
