Those are good.............the 2nd one is not a matte painting, it's a C4d render. I saw it on Foundation 3D about a week ago. :)
We (3DADirect) have been talking to a lot of artists from Jorik Dozy's Luminarium Group. There is many very good matte artists on this site

I miss the old way of doing matte paintings. Glass mattes are rather nifty. Real paints, brushes and an art that is being lost.
With the new displacable objects much of this is possible, and made more realistic (nothing againts painting, mind you, these are nice). I wonder why we don't see them used yet.....
