This is not to show Lightwave but for Planetside just as an example
how much a feature might be a help to make better organic moves in a Terragen animation.
This is the animation:

And this is how he made it:

nice...that made me really miss my old Imagine 3D. It has a constrain to path that does something remarkably similar...can't find my animation cd's atm or I'd post an example as well...It was remarkably advanced for a program that stopped development (publicly) in 2000...another case of too small a user base....
Hey Bobby, a little Mike Halverson love from the old Imagine days... Still have my Amiga. Agree about the Camera moves, though TG's render times dampen my animation fantasies (at least at the res/detail area desired). Good stuff Kadri!
:)
I think i saw it first in 1994 at the same time as Lightwave because of a friend who was very good in 3D.
I choose Lightwave because of the better renderer if i remember it right.
Other then that Imagine was a very good software.

for Imagine fans without the pc app it's being given away with Mike
s blessing on a site populated by the remaining Imagineers at:
http://www.imagine3d.org/
it's on the left in downloads...Organica (a blob modeler) is also there for free....
too bad TG hasn't got access to Imagines procedural textures, wonder if Mike would share that code with Terragen as the app isn't being publicly used or updated...MikeH makes animations for slot/fruit machine with it apparently and that's a waste IMHO...hey Matt, give him a call, heh heh heh...there are 100's including the so cool Essence batch also available at that site....

I dunno Kadri, as it progressed Imagine quite kept up with the bigs at a considerably lower price point...check out the pre Terragen renders on my Renderosity gallery if you are a member...

I will look Bobby.
But unfortunately it is not enough to be a good software.
See what is happening to Softimage right now.
I don't use it but i am sorry for the users.

I totally agree Kadri, a software, like people, requires consistency to be really good. That said it is still my favorite modeler now that I have PoseRay for U/V mapping which Imagine never had I am happier...incompatible coordinate system....sigh
:)
