Seen this. Way overpriced. Not impressed quite honestly. Maybe a few in there that are somewhat interesting. A lot of what is there I had made very similar terrain features, not to brag but I have had a lot of time on my hands. In fact, there is a lot of power within Terragen's Heightfleidl Erode Node that can do a lot of what I had seen as well. Not just World Machine.

Yeah, $300 dollars US seems very high given that the earlier iteration 'Super Erosion' is only $15 at the Cornucopia Store. Still, having used that piece of the GeoGlyph package, I found it very impressive. Also very slow. Working in the World Machine environment to create height fields seems more fluid to me then my less then satisfying forays into TG's node network. So despite the fact that this 'macro' costs as much as the host app, I'm considering it. While TG may be able to duplicate all of the aspects of GeoGlyph, I've come to question whether the time invested trying to accomplish that might be more then the cost of the $300. Still, that's pretty pricey considering...

I have to say that the images in the link look rather excellent. And I am of the belief that those terrains would render very pretty in TG.
Rendering in TG has never been my problem... I can sit for hours testing every setting and level to get a fine render. And I can wait days for a render to finish without being upset by it.

But if I had to fight through a build to get something not exactly like I set out to get, then my attitude will be quite different about rendering.

Sadly though, I don't have acces to those packs since I cant use WM on OSX. So my interest is moot.  :(

The price difference in the two packs I saw is quite something else too. only 5 in the one, and 35 in the other.

*Edited for clarity

It does seem pricey and I'm not that blown away by the examples - I might invest if I have any money later in the year but then again I might not!

Its a bit pricey, but as mentioned QS's Super-Erosion was 15 bucks for one device, so for 36 devs its relative. I have been reading about a possible World Machine 3 so personally I am going to hold out until that drops before diving into this. Certainly something I will get in the future

FYI this is only supported in Version 2.3.6.2 of WM. Not sure why there's nothing on that site that tells anyone this, good thing I didn't buy it. Apparently compatibility is up to WM PDKs.

Maybe by WM v. 3 everything will be copasetic. Maybe also there will be an OSX version of WM.

I will not lie though, I still use World Machine from time to time. However, my time is still deeply invested into what Terragen can do.
