That's awesome! I've always been fascinated by the idea of "biospheres" and wanted to have one since I was a kid. I tried creating a home-made one in a big jar once, it worked sort of, but had a lot less visible interesting stuff in it than a plant like that (mostly microscopic, but lots of snails too, hehe). I'd like to try again one day...

i remember seeing biospheres in catalogs when i was a kid, wanted one but they were too expensive.
