Title: Transparency: how exactly works for objects?
Post by: alessandro on April 11, 2014, 06:22:36 PM
Hello, I hope to be doing something wrong, but is transparency on imported objects just working as on/off, meaning that intermediate greyscale maps are not currently supported and you can only have a black/white mask?
Thanks

You could do some trickery with a water shader, using that as base (extremely transparent) and adding a (soft) masked texture underneath.

That's said to hear. I'll try Ulco's suggestion, even if using a water shader will make things very slow.

Yes, I'm afraid so, but it largely depends on how intricate and numerous the water shaded objects are.
