couple of test renders... started off as a dusk lighting test... got a bit carried off , I mean away!!
ufo from bazze-colacola...
includes modified Lanes complex stones...
my own sky recipe... needs some small tweaks...
sign created by me in Blender...(phew!)
(can't get my head around blender and normals/uv mapping, so eventually, I got there... there has to be an easier way methinks!)
random vegetation includes tg freebies and some odd cacti... (or is that camo dude?!?!?) ;))

I love the sky :)
It has a very eerie feel, and you can't tell whether the person is being beamed up or down or standing there, unawares perhaps of coming radiation or beaming powers.... really nice lighting and clouds as well. But perhaps a bit more drama to the hind mountains/hills could make it more dramatic, like a shadow over them, or just darker earth/stone colors. I like the subtle grey, but it's (maybe) just too grey overall. IMO, that is.
Clouds are great. I agree with Dune about the overall greyness it makes the figure stand out in a very unnatural way.
thanks guys, The way the figure looks unsettled me too... really difficult to get the lighting to work here when everywhere is in shadow....
I have a few ideas I will try...
I will keep you posted!
:)
cheers

Build in Blender and U/V map in PoseRay using Cubic...works for everything I've tried so far...Love that PoseRay
