This is one of several raw images I created in Terragen as a matte painting for the movie Field of Lost Shoes, a Civil War story. The final shot is color corrected to match the surrounding live action footage and full of Union and Confederate soldiers engaged in battle. I started with a dem of the Shenandoah Valley area and then modified it to the clients needs via displacements and power fractals. The farm houses were built in Lightwave, saved as .obj files and imported into Terragen. I used the X-frog agricultural pack for the billions and billions of grasses. Happy 4th of July! Kevin
Cool. Happy 4th

Can we see?
I'll post the final as soon as I have permission!
Very good. Looking forward to the next image.
Looks really good. I like the windblown grasses very much.
Yes the grass is striking - excellent work.
Very good depiction of the Shenandoah area. I drive up through there periodically to see my family in Maryland. Beautiful area - scenic and peaceful. You've capture that here.
Very nice composition and colors. And yes the grass is superb.
Excellent render.
I love the grass and the huge sense of scale in the scene :D
Beautiful!
That grass looks fantastic indeed. A very realistic depiction. Nice work!

:)
Nice! The sense of scale really brings it to life I think.
nice scene :)
Having been trying to get 'wavy grass', I remembered the wavyness in your grass. Did you do something special, like mesh displacement, or is it just the rotation with the terrain that causes it?
I really like this genre of image and tales of the time...lovely image execution...the movie sounds good too.
