Hi !
Is it possible that 'Fractal Warp Shader' has no effect on the heightfield shader?
It does. Look closely, it has a considerable effect.
Thanks for the reply!
On the right side is the heightfield in the picture, on the left is a Power fractal v3. I can't see a difference on the right side :'(
Maybe new glasses? ;)
Edit: it's clearly visible on both sides.Perhaps it's not what you expect.
One day I'm going to need glasses ...
The Heightfield Shader isn't currently affected by warp shaders or transform shaders. It's something we'd like fix in future; it should be an option.
If you need to warp a heightfield, I think you could save it as an EXR (right-click on the green heightfield node and choose Save File As..") and then load that EXR into an Image Map Shader.

Thanks Matt Thanks for the reply! So I try to export the heightfield as exr.
New glasses for me or a new left and right definition at least. ;)
Well, actually I didn't look at it carefully enough, missed the PF bit. Sorry.
Was not a good example project, because it was not really clear which was the heightfield ...
I just want to add some detail to the moon IMG Data with the resolution of 100m/px, since it looks a bit too smooth for me.
You can do that with a Power Fractal, Fake Stones, or many other shaders that add displacement. Just keep scales and displacement amplitude small and it will add detail without wiping out your features. Use slope, altitude, or other constraints if you want to keep the detail less uniform.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try it and see what fits best to the moon.
