Title: adding a terrain from the library
Post by: photonut80920 on November 07, 2014, 09:54:03 PM
This is something that puzzles me: I open TG with a terrain, either the default one or one from a file. It looks good.  Then I want to select another one heightfield, either through load or generate or from the library.  When it loads, it appears to be broken  up and floating in the image most of it in the sky and not where I would expect it.  What gives?  Do I have to adjust the cameras or what to bring it to where I want it in the terrain along with the original terrain I first loaded.  I would usually want it placed near one edge of the view.

All terrains when loaded will start at 0,0,0 coordinate origin, i.e. they will overlap when initially loaded. Adjusting the terrain position should resolve the problem, although it may also be due to height of the new terrain or some other issue causing you to be underneath/"inside" the terrain. So try moving the camera if repositioning the newly loaded terrain does not help.
