Been in and around some of these places over the years hiking. Lots of inspirations.
Yeah, the river originates just around the corner from where I live. Great spots for sure as described. Canyonlands was on my list for this year but I went to Yellowstone (again) instead, so hopefully in 2015. The whole Grand Cirle tour (http://www.utah.com/nationalparks/grand_canyon/grand-circle-itinerary.htm) is actually highly recommended for its wonders of nature. Just don't go in the summer unless you like heat :)
I have been to these places...all except the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We did not spend as much time as they recommend for seeing it but since we did not do a lot of hiking it was adequate. Stunning places. Bryce Canyon was my favorite. I highly recommend everyone travel there at some time.....and summer was not that bad. ;)
Wow, hit 800 posts with the one above. :o
Was lucky to arrive at Bryce after an overnight snow storm in November one year. Magical scene in the morning with the red cliffs contrasting against the white cover (and very few people to dodge for pictures). Wish I had owned a better camera then.
