Would like to share my last render. (fake stones, dof and some post work)
C&C are welcome.
Have a nice day :)
This is very nice; great job! One thing I'd like to see is increasing the vertical dimension (without moving the camera) such that you will gain more sky above the sun; thus giving the image format a better balance.
Looks interesting.
Not sure about the lower part. I wasn't immediately aware that it was water.

Thank you. I will do another version with more sky, perhaps with some clouds :)

Yeah the blur killed the water for sure but I thought it is visible coz of the sparks on the water... :)
Nice image! The lower part, with a little tweaking would enhance an already nice render. But really fine as is.

What enhance u would do?
Really a good one!
Definitely a keeper, great pov, nice colour, excellent rocks and perfectly placed plants - a little snow and you have an Iceland entry!

LOL on the Iceland part! :D
Another version with some clouds. :)
Well I don't like the clouds at all. I like the cold sun in the first one.
Rather I would work on the edge of the water against the stones which feels not quite perfect to me. And also, the unnatural sharp line/edge of on the stones them selves (which as I understand it is not your fault, but a problem with fake stones) But I think some people posted fixes for that?
I also agree that this image would be good for the Iceland contest! Except add lots of good moss to the rocks .And then PRESTO! SUMMER!

Just my feeling at this moment.

Thx. I was thinking about moss before but as far as I know we can populate only objects no? But these are fake stones.
Also if anybody knows how to fix the fake stone edges pls let me know :)
Maybe replace the sharp edged stones with displaced Cubes. Have a search of the one done by M. Haze. And, he did share it (I think, but I might be wrong) in File sharing. Search it out and give it a try.
I prefer the first one to be honest, maybe a different POV is all. Solid render
You can't populate cubes. Use a little offset in the displacement of your stones, that'll blow them up. And you can of course populate moss on these fake stones, no need for objects.

Thx. I will give a try for this. ;)
Very good work!
I personally prefer the clouded pic due to the softer light. This one and some moss on the stones - Just an idea...

Moss is a good idea except is above my understanding right now. There was an idea how to do it but I failed on it... :D
Maybe later... :)
Try this. I had help creating this through M Haze and Ulco. Use a small, grass like plant to simulate the moss. There are a number of ways to create moss on a rock.

Ohh nice! Thx, I will study it as soon I can :D
Lovely composition with the focusing on this single instance of grass ! Love the DOF effect ! The first one was the one for me !
