Hi guys !
Have always loved science fiction and space scenes but this is my first good try at it !
Had some time over the Christmas period and got re-aquainted with Terragen !
There are still things that I have difficulty with and my first difficulty was getting the Milky Way projected just right on the background ! Took me some time to figure it out but think I got it right eventually.
The planet was kind of easy as I grafted Frank Basinski's procedural planet on my planet....amazing complex which I will have to study for months to understand...it is an amazingly beautiful surface.
The clouds are the Global Procedural Cloud Complex from NWDA....again amazing complex (and this is the low complexity one) !
The model is my birthday gift from my wife......it is my birthday on the first of January ! The model was from TurboSquid from an artist that calls himself "infinite3dfx". The model is absolutely amazing in detail and beauty !
A bit of postmark in Photoshop for the flaring star !
Thanks for viewing and appreciate your comments !

WOW...absolutely stunning sci fi Paul....well done man! 8)
Hey Paul, that is very good work. Good to see you involved with some space work.
Great scene!
And Happy Bday :)
Light is brilliant, great use of resources to !!
Loving it! Is the alien ship custom? Really liked how your clouds turned out. That's been my issue in making planets. Entirely too dense of clouds that I find hard making into spotty planet coverage. Though I just discovered the ability to warp the clouds which expands said density. I used that method in my Tyderium image.
Oh come on, why "trouble"? What if they are peaceful aliens? :P
