Another fast one.
The post about the sparkling snow picture in Facebook was the driving force for this one.
There is postwork ;)
Could be rendered with higher quality to get rid of the noise but this will stay as it is for now.
Still rendering the animation.
yeah, up the atmo samples, or cloud samples; if you're using a cumulus as I've started, since my corvette pic, to prefer.
col pic tho...boredom often trigger new creativity in me. but it was way worse in the good old days, like amiga 2000 daze, heh heh heh...waited days for a single 640x480 still.
Thanks.
Because there are no clouds high atmo and-or higher AA settings would be enough probably.
I haven't used Amiga but i knew it.
I couldn't wait to finish my first renders with my first computer (286) .
I begun only with my second 386 PC to make kinda real renders.
3-5 hours were long times for me and that isn't much different today in that aspect with my new renders :)
No noise in the thumbnail. looks bad ass.
Thanks Michael.
The ongoing rendering of the same scenes for the animation makes me want to make others...
This is another doodle :
Make more doodles. 8)
LOVE THE MOOD! :D

This is another doodle :
ooh, Bobby like, cool doodle, bad weather pun intended
Thanks all.
Another sketch: Entry.
Might be a basis later for an animation.
I think this is it for a while.
Now that really has animation potential....is that the disk beneath the sphere/planet?
If you ask about the shockwave kinda cloud it is a local cloud of the Big Planet below
Wild effect...good capture as the photogs say.
Thanks :)
I really like your 'Down', Kadri. Terrific image. Especially the 'overdone' colors make it very Arty. So, did you add the blue sheen in the default shader with a distance shader restriction?
I absolutely love the color palette and shift from left to right in Down--- Kadri Ozel 2015.jpg!

Thanks guys.
That color shift is actually in the original image but very very subtle.
I wanted something like this (but not extreme as this).
I think a little comes from the reflection shader on the snow surface ,high haze settings and from the cloud at the left side.
When i played with different layers and color corrections and the barely seen galaxy photo on the background the colors became more and more pronounced.
I even tried to get rid of the drastic difference of the colors but in the end i liked it as it is.
Down is really great. 8)
Thanks :)
Andy Welder mentioned that i could have used another AA filter for the reflections for example in Facebook.
I remembered that using different resolution was important too for the look of such things and made these crop renders as i had nothing more to do :)
Might be useful for newbies. There are probably other threads about this, buried around here already but whatever.
These are crop renders from the resolution that you can see in the file name of each file.
All settings are the same except resolution.
