Title: Breaking in
Post by: Kadri on January 19, 2015, 11:08:44 PM

This doesn't work quite as i would like to but as another doodle i hope it is worth to share.

The worst part is probably that i should have made the rings more like the Saturn rings with many more ring parts in it with subtle color changes.

The effect is great. But, (here I am again) aren't the rings a little on the dense side?

"But" is always welcome :)

I might change those rings maybe.

Second version. I think the rings are OK now. Not quite the same image now of course.

Much better! There are some dots or noises near the moon. Is this intended? If so, what is it?

Not sure which ones you mean Hannes.
There are some small parts from the lens flare and from the breaking up parts from the ring.
There shouldn't be more dots and noises.

See image below. Somehow this looks a bit odd imho.

Hannes you are aware that that moon breaks the rings (those white dots-noises are the ring parts) and is coming from the left side to the right approaching the big Saturn like planet?

Thanks. Watching the same(!) images rendering bit by bit is after a while burning some parts in my brain...doodling is refreshing :)
