Glorious light! A big panoramic start.
Exciting one Mick, makes me feel I have on my wing suit gliding over the mountain top ...nice work.
Yes, a very nice render. Inviting indeed.
Thanks all, not planning to do too much more to this. Think it's time to do some more experiments.

Agree to cool image...the footsteps caught me by surprise, nicely. Well done.
Here's the final.
Nice additions. Like it more than before :)
Thank you - British mountains often have one of this concrete pillars on the top - called trig points, used for mapping in the days before satallites.

always thought they were used to mark mountains as the highest point in the area
No, The angles, Both vertical and horizontal between trig points, were used to calculate the position of high points then everything else was laboriously measured.
Snow cover is freaking awesome. Nice work Mick
Cheers, I learn't a lot from the Iceland Comp!
100% on this! Every feature is perfect, the addition of the trig tower is a capper with the birds flocking around it. A quite subtle but effective focus.
I like the flow of the elements in this scene; the way the upper terrain turns slightly to the left towards the sun. Then the distant cloud mass helps the balance by increasing in size starting near the sun on the left and increases in height as it goes to the right. Everything fits very nicely ...good work Mick.
I try :D
Great job. I really like the clouds and lighting.
