Title: Feature Request: Next and Previous Keyed Frame for Motion Variable
Post by: PabloMack on February 28, 2015, 08:04:52 AM
Given that TG supports animation via key framing simultaneously for many motion variables, it would be VERY USEFUL to have an option in the animation button to make the timeline cursor "go to" the next or previous keyed frame in the animation sequence (ignoring the keys set for other variables) relative to the current time cursor. Often times I need to adjust a position or orientation variable of a keyed frame that already exists rather than creating a new one where the time indicator currently is (which can create a lot of problems with motion). There are already the options "Set animation key" and "Remove animation key" among others (see attached picture of camera panel). I would like to see "Go to Next Key" and "Go to Previous Key" (and their supported functionality) added to these dropdown menus.

I suppose that would be helpful.

For now I leave the animation panel open and slide the timeline "knob" up to the next key. IT snaps into it if you are careful.

Yes, I think we can add this in future. I've added this request to our issue tracker.

Thanks a bunch, Matt. I plan to do lots of animation in TG in the future.
