Working on a new illustration, learning as I go.
I like the perspective here, with the glimpse to a larger view through the trees. It tells a bit of a story, makes me feel like I'm on a hike and there's an exciting view beyond. I do feel like the foreground vegetation is rather yellow and, well, kind of depressing, hehe. It might be appropriate for the season or area you're depicting, of course, but I'd prefer to see some more vibrant green stuff. ;)

Haha Thanks, yeah its getting there, still getting use to all the functions for everything. Lottsa tweaking and fiddling with things to learn.
Did some more fiddling.
This very much better, I like it too. If you have some white (daisies) or blue flowers (bluebells), that would give the foreground some more interest and color variation.
Thanks! Yup for sure, am adjusting to this new software so I'm getting the hang of it, I got tons of stuff I created in my libraries, now just gotta dif through and find all that junk LOL!!!
Yousaid Bluebells, must be a Texan? Am wearing my Longhorns hat, and for those that don't know, it is illeagal to pick a blue bonnet flower in the great state of Texas LOL!
Also here's some of my old junk from Bryce and Mojoworld, mind my site I'm trying to ge it fixed up. http://claygraphics.phase2.net/
No, Dutch. I like some of your constructions, like tolere. Very intriguing.
Thx, loads of render time with that software though, true raytracing kinda sucked back then lol, specially with old outdated software.
Tolere was built all in Bryce, every piece, animated it once but thats long gone, all the mats, pieces everything was all bryce, oh the propellar was a greyscale image imported into the terrain editor, otherwise all Bryce 5 I believe the version was, sorry been working with that app since version 3 LOL!
The new version is a definite improvement. Well done. :)

Really like where you're headed with this...damn fine for one new to TG 3. Have you played around with colour variation in the veg using the colour tab in the pop? There are threads on it's use here and, as I've not had the best of luck using it being red/green colour blind, I can't give specific hints but Dune has done some pretty good variations using it so I know it's do able.
