A commission has come up to do a early medieval render for a huge billboard (2-4m or so), on which monks work in an outpost of their monastery. Gathering clay and peat, making bricks, digging canals in an unhealthy mosquito paradise. Main image will be a birdseye view, but I might add some close-up renders to give visitors an idea about what it would have been like in those days. Like this test.
Monks are DAZ+LW, boat (punter) is LW.
Can't wait to see more previews. The'll certainly get their money's worth and I'd love to see a 4 metre Ulco pic.....
That's some test! A beautiful illustration, this one stands on it's own.
Like this - really nice image.
Maybe give the grasses a bit of bend for more natural look?
Yes. As a matter of fact it was a really old file that I reopened and put the monks and boat in, so the grass is ancient. If they want an inset like this I'll do it properly.

Completely awesome!
You get all these fascinating commissions. The description sounds great. Nice render too!
Good composition. The fog here is one type. Another might be one the is lower to the surface which might deliver a totally different look.
