which is best rendering engine based on physics?
I have only tried Arnold SolidAngle (the results were very realistic)
but I guess there must be other better than Arnold and Renderman, or not?

Kinda getting to the point where is does not matter much anymore, don't you think? I mean, they all pretty much do what people need from them. Arnold renders sure do look nice though! I think Vray is the most common among individuals/ desktop users?
Personally I think they all cost too much though.
oh yeah! I'm actually working with C4D + Vray now
However, I still think a rendering engine based on the physical, can be much better if realism is what you want (like me)
with respect to cost, I only tried Arnold (for Houdini), unlimited, but for a period of 30 days (now I think is only 15 days)

Maya is made by one of the two software devils (Hint: Both their names begin with 'A'). That takes Renderman off my radar.
