Title: Bridge
Post by: Dune on March 31, 2015, 03:26:00 AM
A medieval bridge I just made, just testing. Mmm, it won't go up  >:(

Maybe because it looks like they're relying more on faith than physics?

Personally, I'm more concerned about the jumper in the background.  :o

Did you create all the models personally?  I'm doing a lot of similar work right now.

I guess so. I'll make a variation where it's up. It was just for fun actually, so I put this dancing little girl from my Iron Age period on the castle wall. One on the way, one to go down  :P
Yes, well, they are DAZ people, so it's 'just' postures, clothing, export and then finesse in LW. Clothing is my main concern, especially since UV's tend to get messy in LW. Making these people from scratch is too much work, I'm afraid. But they work very well on a bit of a distance to get some life into scenes.

I see.  I was thinking more about the buildings, actually.

Yes I make them too. This castle is a few years old and I'd do it better now, I guess. But back then I had to do too many buildings for one (badly paid) commission to invest too much time in each. The wall is not very good either.

Nice board walk, Ulco. I am building one too. I like your textures! Grass is nice also

As a matter of fact it's the one tiled wood tif I call into a lot of wooden stuff. An added fractal gives it some personalization in space. I need to make another set some day.

It appears to me that the the Duke's daughter has been cloistered away at the Abby for the gestation. The two monks are vexed at her playful spring dalliances while Pan dances on the rooftop.

Ah spring, when a young man's fancy turns to the finer things life has to offer.

See, a great story has evolved in my head.
Good work Ulco.

Yes, she is. Here's a slight improvement.

Did ladies have pets at that time period?

I like the render very much, but what if the monks are deleted and replaced by a waiting dog - or perhaps a horse...

Hey - you could use my Rottweiler with it's stick, if you want  ;D  --  Ok, better not  it was a quite cheap not so perfect model ;)

I'm sure they had little dogs  ;) A horse may be interesting, but this was not intended as a finished image, just threw some recently made stuff together.

I like the maybe unintentional demo on medieval bridges...cool method of raising  them for ( allowing traffic? )

Hah! great (Dutch) sense of humour!?
I like the mood a lot here, and as always the detailing is superb.

She was gone when I did my next render, very strange. Perhaps that's why we suddenly have a congregation of praying monks, to see to her recovery  :P
