Title: golden field
Post by: Cocateho on April 15, 2015, 10:06:21 PM
Kinda wanted to capture a mood with this one, as well as have it be a bit of a study on mimicking macro photography and really explore the details of objects. Here's a lower res version with a little post work lighting. I'm adding some lower veggies to make the ground seem not so bare underneath. Higher quality/resolution render to come.

Updated full sized render. Thanks for taking a look!

Very nice. Maybe make the wheat a lighter color?

Nice. Works as a close up but I have to agree with choronr on the colour.

Thanks, glad you all like it! Do the colors really seem dark? I think it looks normal, but it wouldn't be the first time someone said my render was dark. I think it may be a difference in the monitors, maybe mine is slightly brighter or something.

The color of the wheat is too saturated IMO, take it back about half what it is now.  ;)

Took a look using my phone to get a different perspective and it is a bit darker and more saturated, and the subtle color variation doesn't show up as well. Not sure if this is what you all are seeing, but it makes your comments make more sense to me.

Edited colors and added a lens flare, I think it looks better now,  hopefully this helped?

Nails it, that's what I see in summer here.

Thanks! Glad to know I solved the issue. I'll have to adjust my monitor a bit and double check my renders in the future to make sure they aren't super dark/saturated.
