C&C welcome -
Great light, great colour, great atmosphere, great grass. I think that maybe the falls should be more prominent than they are, however. Maybe zoom in on them some.
Also the foreground needs a little something. Some rocks, perhaps? I'd recommend the pack I just made but it doesn't look like Danny has it up yet. Maybe you could use some fake stones or something. I really like the grass, but it needs a little context. You could also place a little wildlife maybe, just something to draw the viewer in would finish this piece off.
Thanks - good ideas, I have plans to add a lot more water, streams and falls but they are not going to be easy to do.
I agree, it has a great feel, and I like the distant falls, but it misses 'power'. And maybe it's a bit too dark in the shadows.
Yes, shadows are a problem, I agree about it lacking something but the streams and extra fall should sort that, maybe a ruin? My biggest regret is the loss of the rock colour with the lighting. I used the output of one of Quadspinners macros "GeoShape" to drive the colouring with subtle and very realistic results. Geoglyph is superb btw.

Why, cause they are too awesome for you? The rich blacks are what make it here.

Nothing sells scale and distance like people and pets.

Like it a lot. Wish you would animate a camera move. Add some cloud animation. All at this quality. would be a fine thing to see.
I like a balance between rich black shadows and shadow detail which is quite hard too achieve in tg. I spend a lot of time in remote places and I prefer to keep people out of my images - however I might bring back some of my mountain goats!
Great mood, and I really like that waterfall!

I've heard it's a load of fun but I can't get GeoGlyph to install on the Basic(free) version. Always my problem...I was drooling all through their videos.
Agree with the other comments and await your tweaks for further comment.
I like this a lot!
Looking forward to the next...

Low res render of the next stage C&C welcome. Terrain created in world machine with some geoglyph macros added in. Then lots of detail modelling with SSShaders, a touch of strata and a few cracks to finish. Falls are fumaroles grass mainly tg's grass patch with some clumps of my own made in Speedtree.
Realy good, Mick. It looks so simple, but I know this is a lot of work! You certainly nailed those falls. Only thing is to jab out the few white specks in post (on the right).
Thanks Dune, I need to do a high res render first and, yes, then I must remember to do that!
Nice one Mick, falls look very convincing
I could look at this image for a long time. A beautiful piece of work Mick.
Thanks all. Still some more to do before the final render.
Wow, looks convincing! This waterfall stuff in TG has really come a long way.
I'm going to leave this here. But........
Totally blown away by this...a masterpiece to be sure....
Yeah, really very cool! I very much like the few tall trees, very well thought out.
