This is my newest project. It was hard to texture the ground and make it look good so I just drown the mountain in clouds ::)
Hope you like it....
The clouds are purely fantastic, no better word for it. The texturing on the mountain isn't great though, I'm not sure why, but it looks bland in comparison with the rest of the image. Improve the mountain and this could easily be image of the week.
Those clouds are quite amazing! Perfect example of broken stratus. Do you have a clip file or any tips?
I completely agree with ProjectX. It's great work, much potential!

Really Great Clouds! The only thing I would change is the atmo blue effect on the snow cover. Lighten it up with some gray tint and not so saturated. You might also lighten up the vertical rock color, both high and low colors with a little contrast so the rock has a little more visible detail. Not much just a tad. Ok I'll shut up now. ;D
I love this in every way. The only small negligible change I might make would be some more detail to the terrain or something to make it look more varied. But, at this height I think everything looks quite believable.
Good work and agree with Buzzzzzy
Thanks to all.
I will change the texture on the mountain and try to fix some of the other things pointed out.
If someone want to share a tip or to about surface texturing I will be happy to learn them.

I'l post a clip file very soon.
You're Welcome. I was just playing with your image in PS and I think you can do it there. Rather than re-rendering. Hope you don't mind? I can post your image with my adjustments here if you want?
Great image! As everyone has said, I love the clouds. The lighting on the mountain looks great too. I agree that a little more variation and textures would be useful, but I personally think that, despite the small imperfections that people have already pointed out, this is a great image.
Thanks old_blaggard

Of course.
And her is the clip file as promised:
Cool, Makes a nice desktop background :)
Wow... looks a lot better. Thanks for posting.
Sjefan, many thanks for the clip file and the excellent work!
Fantastic, great work with those clouds!
Very nice great work
Thanks guys
No problemo moodflow.
One of the best looking clouds to have come out of TG2 so far. I prefer the bluer version of the mountain. To me it looks more realistic for the time of day you were trying to capture.
Great work, I really like the clouds. Well done!
I can't add anything in particular, other than that I'd like to chime in with everybody else. A wonderful picture, thanks for showing.
Regards,
Frank
Thumbs Up, flawless render!
Thanks a lot guys.
I'm working with the texturing now, but it seems to be a little problem with the snow. It's hard to explain and it happens sometimes.
I just cant get the snow to lie correct on the mountain. It just look wrong.
I will post an update when i find a solution to my little problem.
I must agree with everyone else, those clouds are simply stunning.
I'm not sure if improvements to texturing alone can bring this dark side of the mountain a greater degree of interest. A change in lighting or camera angle might better highlight a more interesting bit of the mountain. But improving texturing would be good too.

Well..... I did not solve my little problem with the snow, but here is an update anyways.
I have made some changes to the texture, changed the sun position and
rised the atmosphere and the cloud samples.
I'm still not happy with everything, but I will consider this as the final image.
Hope you like it....
that's really a very cool picture !
Clouds, scale, lighting... all stunning.
Great work.
I agree with the above. There are a few more issues (as you said) to work out in the snow, but everything else about this picture is simply brilliant :).
