I never explored rocks and fake stones before. Now I am doing it and I would like to know
how to fix the sharp edges of a rock. Like I insert a rock object with some PF and generally I like the look
except the sharp edges. Is there an easy way to do this?
If you use a little offset in displacement, you kind of blow up the stones, that may help to achieve what you're after.
I tried different offset options from 0-50 but did not handled the sharp edges. It got better a bit though but not fully. Is there any
method around? Preferably an easy one as I am not that good in TG yet.
If you're up to it you could try efflux's rock method: http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,15345.0.html (http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,15345.0.html)
I did a little (very quick) test... they're a bit rounder.
Thx guys for the help. I will try them today.

Gotta say upfront this is brilliant. I guess y only find this stuff by experimenting and this approach has never dawned on me and I have a new hero in efflux for sussing this one out. Thanks for the learning experience Ulco by reposting a thread I obviously didn't grok. Grok bah, I didn't even see it...all fixed now though.
If you want to read all, click on unread posts since last visit right on top of the page. I do that every morning (and sometimes more often).
