Title: C4D Conversion
Post by: old_blaggard on August 07, 2007, 07:13:06 PM
I'm working on a project, and I really need a .c4d object converted.  Is there anyone here with C4D or with a program that can handle .c4d import and then re-export it as .obj?

I was just wondering if DAZ Studio would import C4D...not sure, though.   It's too bad PoseRay doesn't do this.

I've been fighting with it..
My new computer actually crashed a few times and I tracked it down to a bad cable. I haven't had a bad cable in a few years, so I had trouble finding it. Everything is back up and reloading, c4d r10 is in though if you need me.

Oshyan's taking a crack, but if he gives up I'll send it on to you ;).  Thanks for the offer.

Does anyone have the c4d file spec? I can throw together a converter if you like. Find a link to the spec and I could probably put something together for you over the weekend.

I have no clue if a .c4d mac file can be opened on a pc.

There isn't any reason that .c4d Mac files wouldn't be interchangeable with Windows.  I'll try to find the spec, but the great lack of converters out there means that it probably isn't open or isn't easily implemented.

Well, I got it converted to .obj, now if anyone would be willing to split it up so I can use all of the textures in Poseray, that would be great.  Any volunteers? :P
